Week Seven:

Embodied Sequencing, Principles of Seated Forward Bends, Restorative Yoga 101, Meditation

This week you’ll learn the final piece of our Embodied Sequencing template and the final series of poses to add to your repertoire – seated bends and, everyone’s favorite, Savasana. We’ll explore this topic more deeply with an introduction to Restorative Yoga, the key role it plays in calming our nervous systems, and restorative poses we can use in our classes to foster stillness and deep healing.

The principles of meditation and its expression in the Christian tradition will be discussed this week as we learn how all this asana (the poses and movement) creates a receptive container to be still and silent in the presence of God.
